NFL uniform watch: Ranking of all 32 team’s uniforms
By Randy Gurzi
28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Like with New England Patriots, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers never should have changed their uniforms from their original look. Sure, the creamsicle uniform made them stand out on the field in a unique way, but it wasn’t as bad as their play on the field. Still, all things come back in style and the Buccaneer with the knife in his mouth would be far more entertaining than their version of the Jolly Roger.
Let’s be honest though, the Bucs uniform isn’t terrible, it really is designed with some solid ideas, but the finish could have been better. The color scheme is good, but the logo on the helmet reminds me of when you click the wrong button on Microsoft Word and the font becomes too big to read.
The good news for Bucs fans is they have a young quarterback they believe in with Jameis Winston and a new head coach in Dirk Koetter. Things are looking better in Tampa Bay, and really all they would need to do to look better while playing is make a few minor tweaks here and there to the uniform.
Then again the considering this writer’s history of never designing a uniform, they probably won’t be taking my advice. That’s probably a good thing, because then there would probably be a crab on the helmet anyway.
