14. Lucas Giolito, Washington Nationals

Named by many as the top overall prospect in the game headed into the year, Lucas Giolito has not gotten off to the start this season many had been expecting. But the Nationals are in the position to not be truly concerned about it, as they are receiving phenomenal pitching across the board in the majors.

Giolito has taken longer than the Nationals would have liked to adjust to the Double A level. They might be tempted to promote him anyway to see if he can rediscover his dominance in another league. This is not to say he is struggling, but he will need time to continue to refine his command and expand his arsenal before he is ready to join a major league rotation.

However, if the injury bug does impact the Nationals at some point, and Giolito does gain more consistency and make the likely jump to Triple A at some point, he could be called upon later in the season as a potentially pivotal pennant race promotion.
