17. Ozzie Albies, Atlanta Braves

After making the decision to deal away Andrelton Simmons, and before they acquired Swanson this winter, Ozzie Albies stood alone as the shortstop of the future in Atlanta. The 19-year-old from Curaçao has sped through the Braves system due to his electric bat, speed and strong glove. He has stayed true to this trend thus far, hitting .319 between the Double and Triple-A levels this season, including a .369 bombardment before being promoted after 21 games in Mississippi.

While Albies could be promoted as a shortstop, he will likely see time at second base as well, as his future lies on the right side of the infield now with Swanson in the fold. And with the Braves on a full-speed collision course with the worst record in baseball this year, there will be ample time to get Albies the experience he needs to adapt to the position.

He got off to slightly slow start at Triple-A Gwinnett, but has picked up the pace recently. Due to the fact that the Braves have no delusion of needing a competitive boost from bringing up one of their prized prospects, Albies could be left down past the All-Star Break. However, if he attacks Triple-A pitching the way he did in Double A, he could force the Braves front office to bring him up sooner than anticipated.
