FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-May 21 & 22
High Value SG
J.R. Smith-Cleveland Cavaliers (4,700): Smith played 27 minutes for the second game in a row in Game 2 and finished with 15.6 fantasy points after opening with 15.9 fantasy points in Game 1. Smith plays limited time in routs, but he is still running with the starters and a solid mid-range option if you have the money to spend at SG without going all the way to the expensive options on the last slide. ∗∗
Iman Shumpert-Cleveland Cavaliers (3,600): Shumpert is getting good run off the bench for the Cavs as part of their second unit which has been very good so far against Toronto. He has logged at least 15 minutes in each f the Cavs last six games and had at least 15 fantasy points in three straight before struggling to just 6.7 fantasy points in Game 2. He is getting enough playing time to be a good sleeper at the minimum price, and I think his production will return to at least double-digit fantasy points tonight in Game 3. ∗∗∗
Andre Roberson-Oklahoma City Thunder (3,500): Roberson came back to earth a bit after a good Game 6 against the Spurs and Game 1 against the Warriors. He had 29.9 and 18.5 fantasy points in those two contests but only played 15 minutes and had just 9.6 fantasy points in Game 2. He’s still worth a look as a cheap play since he does get time with the starting unit and remains one of the Thunder’s best perimeter defenders, but he is also high-risk since his production comes and goes. ∗∗
