After a lengthy review it was confirmed that Troy Brouwer ended the Blues’ shutout streak after two consecutive shutouts in the Western Conference Finals.

In Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, the St. Louis Blues were hoping that their recent lineup changes would ignite a fire under a stagnant offense that has been shutout in each of its past two games. Blues forward Troy Brouwer ended the shutout streak at seven periods after a first period power play goal to give St. Louis a 1-0 lead.

The goal was reviewed to see if anyone was offsides. It was very close but the evidence was ruled inconclusive. Brouwer got on the board thanks to a gorgeous pass to the slot from rookie forward Robby Fabbri. After not performing well in the playoffs with the Washington Capitals, Brouwer has been one of the most productive Blues during the 2015-16 postseason. He had 39 points in the regular season. In the postseason, he has 11 points (six goals and five assists) in 17 games, including a game winner against the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round in game seven.

St. Louis has come out with energy in Game 4. They will need to keep that up if they want to tie the series at two games a piece.
