No. 10: Von Miller, LB, Denver Broncos

It’s hard to argue that any NFL player had a better 2015-16 season than Von Miller. He tied for eighth in the NFL with 11 sacks as a key piece of the Broncos’ elite defense. That earned him his fourth career Pro Bowl nod, but that was just the start for Miller.

Miller took his game to another level in the postseason, finishing with two and a half sacks and an interception in the AFC Championship Game victory against the Patriots. He followed that up with an even more dominating performance against the Panthers in Super Bowl 50, tallying two and a half sacks and two forced fumbles en route to Super Bowl MVP honors.

A whirlwind offseason, complete with television appearances and a Dancing with the Stars stint, followed. The Broncos placed their exclusive franchise tag on Miller on March 1, but the two parties have yet to agree to a long-term deal.

Miller has repeatedly stated he wants to remain in Denver, but the thinking here is that if Miller, extra-motivated in a contract year, can play at the level he did in the postseason (or even close to it) for 16 games and the Broncos again make the playoffs, he’ll have to garner some MVP consideration.
