High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,400): In the Thunder’s Game 5 loss, Westbrook continued to put up massive numbers with over 30 points and 54 fantasy points for the third straight contest.  He finished with 31 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, and five steals for an impressive 54.4 fantasy points despite a not-great shooting night.  He has posted over 54 fantasy points in all but one game this series and should continue to attack the Warriors as he and the Thunder return home and should be motivated to close out the defending champs.∗∗∗∗

Stephen Curry-Golden State Warriors (9,700): Curry bounced back nicely from a disappointing 30.5 fantasy points in Game 4 with 53.4 fantasy points in Game 5 scoring 31 points to go with seven rebounds, six assists, and five steals.  He reached 50+ fantasy points for just the second time this postseason and the first time against the Thunder.  Curry still doesn’t look 100% right to me, but he’ll need a huge game if the Warriors force a Game 7.  I just don’t think he has that kind of dominant performance in him at his current level of fitness.  I do think he’ll have solid numbers, but I’d definitely take Westbrook over him if forced to select just one primo PG. ∗∗

Kyrie Irving-Cleveland Cavaliers (7,300): Irving only had to play 27 minutes in Game 5 as the Cavs romped over the Raptors back in Cleveland after a pair of losses North of the border. In his limited time, Irving managed 38.1 fantasy points with 23 points, three steals, three assists, and three rebounds. He has at least 34 fantasy points in six of his last seven games this postseason with his only down game coming in Game 3.  Irving doesn’t have quite the sky-high ceiling of Curry or Westbrook, but he is significantly cheaper and has been consistent enough to be a good option at this price point. ∗∗∗∗
