Bryce Harper let his frustration loose in the Nationals dugout after he lined out against the Cardinals.

Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper is the reigning National League MVP. He is having a month to forget during May of 2016, though. Not only has he rarely seen hittable pitches and is often being walked, when he does see a hittable pitch, he misses them. It has been a very frustrating month for the superstar.

On Sunday, Harper let his frustrations loose in the dugout after lining out in the sixth inning against the Cardinals.

Harper made his batting helmet the target of his frustration. That’s got to be frustrating for Harper, as he’s a guy who takes pride in how good he is. Harper is now hitting just above .200 for the month of May and he’s likely planning a party to celebrate the end of arguably the worst month of his career.

Expect Harper to get some much better luck in the month of June. It’s not like he’s been popping out or weakly grounding out. He’s been hitting the ball hard. The ball just happens to go right to a fielder.

Considering how awful May has been for Harper, it’s amazing that he didn’t do more.
