Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke dreams of playing the first female James Bond.

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke is about to cause a stir in action film world by putting her name out there to be the first ever female James Bond, Jane Bond.

Emilia Clarke who plays Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones has dreams just like all of us. Now, if playing a Queen who has three dragons wasn’t enough, Clarke is more than ready to to give the world a female James Bond.

She told the Daily Star, “I have a lot of unrealized dreams, I would love to play Jane Bond.” The actress already even has the perfect leading man in mind for the first ever Bond Boy. “My ultimate leading man would be Leonardo DiCaprio. No doubt about it.” Clarke says.

There’s already been a ton of speculation about who is going to replace Daniel Craig as 007. Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleson and Tom Hardy are a few among the reported contenders for the role. But could one of the biggest actresses on television right now be ready to make a little film history with a gender swap James Bond movie — and would it actually work?

In other words, is the world ready for a Jane Bond?

While you ask yourself that question, you can see Emilia Clarke in her first leading role in the romantic film Me Before You opening June 3rd and Sundays on HBO at 9 pm on Game of Thrones.
