12. Jeff Louis, F, Haiti

Duckens’ partner in attack for Haiti could be an even more dangerous player. Currently playing for Caen, Louis will have the best chance to create some underdog magic for the Haitians.

The 23-year-old Louis has spent much of his early career playing at various levels in France. Louis’ best stretch came with Nancy in Ligue 2 from 2012-2014, as the Haitian international scored 12 goals in 43 appearances.

While Louis only scored one goal in 12 appearances with Caen this season, he’s shown plenty of playmaking ability throughout his domestic and international career. The Haitians may not have a ton of options, but Louis will be able to surprise some teams with his skill on the ball.

Haiti will likely spend a lot of time on the counterattack, where Louis can excel due to his pace and finishing ability. Louis will be paired with another dangerous forward in Nazon , so Haiti could at least test the defenses of Peru and Ecuador in group play.

If Louis is in good form, Haiti could play as well as it did in the run to the Gold Cup quarterfinal last year. Louis will be Haiti’s best playmaker with the ball, and his ability to create is enough to challenge even the world class defenses of Group B.
