10. James Harden and A$AP Rocky
A$AP Rocky started as a member of the New York-based collective A$AP Mob, but when he struck out on his own created an even greater name for himself. With his mixtape Live. Love. A$AP, followed by his two studio records Long. Live. A$AP and At. Long. Last. A$AP, he was met with critical acclaim and became a bonafide headliner.
Like Rocky, Harden had to separate himself from the Pizza Roll Mob in Oklahoma City before he could stand up on his own. The talent was always there but was shadowed among the collective including Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. It wasn’t until he was traded to the Houston Rockets that Harden became a headliner, finishing second in the MVP race two seasons ago.
Both A$AP Rocky and Harden are fashionistas, making sure their steps off their respective stages are also important. They could even trade clothes, if they wanted to, swapping leather jackets and skinny jeans.
With Harden making a name for himself on the court (not to mention with the Kardashians), and Rocky finding a home on top of Billboard charts, both of these ballers have nestled themselves into pop culture and don’t seem to be going away anytime soon.
