Brock Osweiler will not be joining the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos at the White House.

One of the best traditions in sports is when a team that wins a championship gets to visit the White House and meet the president. While schedules have to line up for teams to make the trip out to Washington D.C. after winning the big game, the Denver Broncos will be going to the White House to meet President Obama next week.

One person that has declined the invitation to to go to the White House with his former teammates is Houston Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler. The quarterback released a statement and thanked the team for inviting him to the honor, but instead he will stay with his new team and work on getting ready for the season.

It makes sense that Osweiler wouldn’t be able to make it now, as teams are in the full swing of OTA’s and are getting important practice reps in before they break for the summer and return to training camp.

Osweiler was expected to be the quarterback of the future and it looked like he was about to get his shot last season, before the team turned things back to Peyton Manning. That pushed Osweiler out the door and the rest is history.
