The theme here is that while the Bulls are staring down an off-season that lets Gasol and Noah leave, they still have less depth and potentially a greater need in the back court next to Jimmy Butler. In the new small ball world, they can get by with the size that is currently on the roster, but with not only Brooks, but also E’Twaun Moore due a contract they could be potentially putting all of their eggs in Rose’s basket.

We all know Rose cannot play a full season, and we all know that the Bulls have to be wondering about life after Rose. The way the draft breaks this year they could see themselves wth a variety of combo guards and true point guards to pick from, many more options than what could be available in terms of big men.

Baldwin is a guard in this draft with the upside of a quality starter. He really has all of the attributes you want in a young prospect as well.

Baldwin is long, at about 6’4″ can shoot and defend. At age 20 he has a body more NBA ready than most of the players in this draft, and in the immediate future can come off the bench as a combo guard.

He has play making ability, but can also score and knock down open shots. Defensivley, his length next to either Tony Snell or Jimmy Butler is going to be a chore for teams. If they can refine parts of his game, he has all the pieces in place to slide into a starting job in the next couple years for the Bulls. Overall, he should be the player that the Bulls hope falls to pick number fourteen.
