High Salary OF

Mookie Betts-Boston Red Sox (5,400): Betts has been on fire with double-digit fantasy points in seven straight before Sundays three-fantasy-point letdown.  He’ll look to get back in the groove tonight in San Francisco as he leads the potent Boston offense to AT&T Park. Betts is extremely expensive but offers power, speed, and average that make him a very attractive option. In the last week, Betts is hitting .375 with five homers, five walks, a stolen base, seven runs scored, and ten RBI.∗∗

Mark Trumbo-Baltimore Orioles (5,100): Trumbo went yard again last night giving him four long balls in his last five games and over 18 fantasy points in five of his last six. He’s crushing the ball at a .303 pace at home in Camden Yards where he’ll face Yordano Ventura and the Royals tonight. Turbo is 3-9 against Ventura in his career, and makes a solid play tonight given his recent form.

Lorenzo Cain-Kansas City Royals (5,000): Cain is 0-10 with a pair of walks in his last three contests, but I think he’ll end up being worth his hefty 5K price tag tonight in Baltimore. The reason I think he’ll turn it around tonight against Ubaldo Jimenez is that Cain has owned Jimenez in their past meetings going 8-17 against him with a homer and five RBI. He was hitting just fine before he hit this funk, so look for him to bounce back tonight with a big game at tonight.

Bryce Harper-Washington Nationals (4,800): The Nats are in Chicago after their day off yesterday to take on the White Sox and Mat Latos who has struggled lately after getting off to a hot start to the season.  Harper is just 2-11 against Latos in his career, but he is coming off a three-hit game on Sunday when he bumped his average back up to .249.  He and the Nats don’t visit U.S. Cellular Field often, but I think he’ll seize his chance to put on a show tonight.

Jose Bautista-Toronto Blue Jays (4,200): Bautista is still hitting an underwhelming .227 on the season after going 0-2 last night with a walk and a strikeout. However, he does have a dozen home runs and I like his matchup at this price point for tonight against Matt Boyd and the Tigers.  Boyd is a lefty who Bautista is 1-2 against in his career with his one hit being a home run.  Bautista is splitting better against southpaws hitting .250 against them with a .854 OPS as opposed to a .822 OPS against righties.  Bautista is a boom-or-bust play, but I like him to help the Blue Jays bounce back after getting crushed last night.
