LSU Tigers vs. Rice Owls

As the hosts of the Baton Rouge Regional in the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament, the LSU Tigers had the chance on Monday night—after several delays and postponed games throughout the play in the bracket—to advance to the Super Regionals with a win over the Rice Owls. Instead, LSU suffered a loss. Now they will meet Rice once more on Tuesday afternoon with the winner advancing and the loser packing up at Alex Box Stadium and going home.

In the loss to Rice on Monday night, it was all about the bats for both LSU and the Owls. Neither team’s pitching was really up to snuff in the 10-6 win for Rice. However, that could mean that any pitcher stepping up on Tuesday could give their team the advantage. By the same token, it could come down to which team’s bats are just a bit hotter than the other. This is truly a game that it feels like either team could take to move on the NCAA Baseball Tournament, which gives fans every reason in the world to tune in.

This game will be broadcast on ESPN3 with live streaming available through WatchESPN, which can be accessed either through the ESPN app or online by logging in using a cable or satellite subscription.
