2. San Antonio Spurs

Before the playoffs began this year, everyone was convinced that the Western Conference Finals was going to be between a 73-win Golden State Warriors team and a 67-win San Antonio Spurs.

For the past two years, everyone has talked about how these two teams are destined to meet in the playoffs and it has been a basketball fan’s dream to be able to see these two match up on the court against each other.

Instead, the two teams have yet to meet in the playoffs with their current rosters and instead, everyone is left with hypothetical scenarios to play out for the future.

At some point, these two teams are going to run into each other in the playoffs and it is there, where we will see the the Warriors go up against the brilliance that is the mind of Gregg Popovich.

If there is a team that is a strong contender to knock off the Warriors, the Spurs are one of those teams that people should put their money on. With LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard the new superstars in San Antonio, the Spurs are going to remain right there at the top for many more years to come.

This battle is going to happen at some point and when it happens, it’s going to be a classic.
