89. Jakob Poeltl’s value ranges greatly when searching mocks around the web — being slated anywhere from 4-13. Regardless of where he lands, it’s a near certainty it’s within the draft lottery. The Milwaukee Bucks are one of the lengthier teams in the NBA, but fans and experts alike fell out of love with Greg Monroe as their low-post option rather quickly; mostly due to his inability to protect the rim on the defensive end.
Poeltl would bring an immediate rim protection option for the Bucks off the bench. While most big men are focused on being able to stretch the floor and provide adequate spacing, Poeltl is a bit of a throwback in terms of being a ground-and-pound style post player. Jakob is the type of player who can provide quality minutes and an efficient low-post option for Milwaukee. He runs the floor very well for a big man and while he lacks even a consistent 15-18 foot jump shot, he more than makes up for that with his presence in the paint.

Poeltl could immediately slide in the Bucks rotation as a solid bench big man behind Monroe and John Henson going into the 2016-17 season. With the team moving Giannis Antetokounmpo to the point guard position their lineup looks to be one of the largest in NBA history and Poeltl will only add to that trend.

To read more about Jakob Poeltl, <a href=.
