player. 24. Wade Baldwin IV is a player who the Chicago faithful can get excited about — if he’s still there at No. 14. The Bulls are reportedly aggressively seeking to fill their point guard position via the 2016 NBA draft. Derrick Rose is under contract for the 2016-17 season and then he hits free agency and there are no other point guards under contract for next season in Chicago.
With Rose’s well-documented history it makes sense to grab a newer model at the lead guard spot and Baldwin could be that long-term fix for Hoiberg. Baldwin is potentially an amazing fit next to wing Jimmy Butler as Baldwin’s best attribute right now is his ability to lockup defensively with his vulture-like 6-11.25 wingspan as a 6-3 point guard.

While his defensive abilities are to be raved about, his offense is still a work-in-progress at this point. Though he shot just over 42 percent over his two-year career at Vanderbilt he’s more of a scorer than a knock-down shooter at this point. He also struggled to finish around the rim, posting a less-than-stellar 50.4 percent in the restricted area. That number needs to drastically improve and while he works on finishing he can get some work in as a pick-and-roll guard to really polish off his game. Baldwin is the best point guard on the board after Kris Dunn and the Bulls would likely love to see him available when they are on the clock.

To read more about Wade Baldwin IV, <a href=.
