Ante Zizic . 21. player. 125. Ante Zizic is one of the more intriguing center prospects in this year’s draft. He’s only 19-years old, stands 6-11 and has worlds of potential coming into The Association. Recent reports that he wants to come to the NBA immediately might raise his stock — or lower them depending on the team — but it’s clear that he wants to be at the highest level as quickly as possible.
Zizic has shown great lateral foot quickness, which is vital for a big man in the NBA, because guarding the pick-and-roll is essential for defensive success and Zizic looks to have the ability to do so. He also plays with great energy and it transfers many times to his teammates as well, which is one of those intangible qualities general mangers seek out every single year.

Atlanta is currently in that middle ground of the NBA where they aren’t contenders but they don’t stink either — possibly the worst place to be quite honestly. If that weren’t enough, Jeff Teague and all-star forward Al Horford are free agents and could be on the way out. If that’s the case, the Hawks will need to retool their front court and while Zizic would not be expected to start right away, he could be a nice asset to have in the cupboard come opening night.

To read more about Ante Zizic, <a href=.
