PF. Spain. Juan Hernangomez . 30. player. 41. Juan “Juancho” Hernangomez has been lighting it up in his NBA workouts so far this draft season showing his strength as well as his shooting ability; albeit in empty gyms. Hernangomez is 20-years old standing 6-9 and has shown the ability to compete at a young age — he plays in the Spanish ACB, which is one of the more difficult leagues in the world.
Juancho can play either small forward or power forward, but prefers the latter as it allows him to take advantage of slower defenders — the downside is larger opponents can take him into the post as well. Right now he projects as a solid pick-and-pop option like an Omri Casspi type of player, but if he can develop his handle and decision-making even further, he could really excel in a setup like Golden State.

The Warriors aren’t likely to bank on this pick moving forward as they have enjoyed a historical run over the last two seasons, but acquiring younger, future assets should always be a focal point for NBA front offices. There are many teams looking to buy their way into the first round of the 2016 draft and the Warriors could be sellers come draft night, but only time will tell. If they keep the pick, Hernangomez is a solid late round option.

To read more about Juan Hernangomez, <a href=
