2016 Mock Draft: Simmons, Ingram, Bender still on top

Kentucky. Jamal Murray . 5. player. 86. I’m not sure who started the whole bow and arrow gig first — Wes Matthews or Murray — but it doesn’t matter because I love every second of it. Murray had a magical freshman year with the University of Kentucky averaging 20 points and 5.2 rebounds while also boasting a silly 45 percent shooting percentage. <p>Now the 19-year old Canadian phenom will bring his talents to The Association and would be an amazing fit with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He would join fellow Canadian Andrew Wiggins and provide the Wolves some much-needed outside shooting — Murray shot 41 percent from 3-point land as well last season. Spacing has become more and more important in the NBA and the Wolves possess a franchise-altering big man in Karl Anthony-Towns who would love to have more space to roam without defenders draped all over him.</p> <p>Murray mainly played off the ball last season with Tyler Ulis manning the point guard position, but during the Pan American Games showed his adept ability to run the lead guard position efficiently as well.</p> <p>Jamal would be yet another horse in the Wolves’ stable in their ever-growing rebuild.
