Catcher

High-Salary Option: Wilson Ramos-Washington Nationals (3,600): Ramos has started June on fire going 10-21 (.476) with a pair of homers and eight RBI.  He’s hitting .345 now on the season with eight homers, 33 RBI, 22 runs scored, and just 21 strikeouts.  He and the Nats are a good lineup to stack tonight against the Phillies and Jeremy Hellickson. ∗∗

Mid-range Option: Brian McCann-New York Yankees (3,100): McCann and the Yankees just finished off a four-game sweep of the Angels as they now welcome in the Tigers and look to keep the lineup clicking as they face Mike Pelfrey.  McCann has killed Pelfrey in the past going 20-43 (.465) against him with half of those 20 hits going for extra bases including two home runs.  McCann had been scuffling at the plate but did get a hit in each of the three games he started against LA including a double and a home run, so there are signs he’s starting to come around.∗∗

Mid-range Option: J.T. Realmuto-Miami Marlins (2,800): Realmuto has been a regular in my FanDuel daily picks at his very affordable price and has started June strong. In the last week, he is 8-19 (.421) with two doubles, an RBI, and three runs scored.  Tonight, he and the Fish will face lefty Patrick Corbin in the desert as they open up their series with the D-Dacks.

High-Value Option: Miguel Montero-Chicago Cubs (2,400): Montero has been one of the few Cubs not hitting lately and is just 2-15 to start June while his batting average continues to hover around .200. He is in a good lineup, though, and he has a nice track record against the opposing starter he’ll face tonight in Atlanta. Bud Norris takes the mounds for the Braves, and Montero is 5-11 against him in the past with four RBI and an OPS of 1.084.

Bonus Bargain Basement Option: Jarrod Saltalamacchia-Detroit Tigers (2,000): The Tigers may go with Salty behind the plate tonight since he has a good great record against Yankees starter CC Sabathia.  Saltalamacchia is 7-21 against Sabathia in his career with three doubles. He hasn’t hit much this season (.186 with 7 HR) but he could be a great play at the minimum if he does get the call tonight.
