2. Stephen Curry

While he has been very quiet in the 2016 NBA Playoffs, Curry is still the unanimous NBA MVP for the 2015-16 NBA season. His out-of-this-world touch from beyond the arc is rapidly transforming the way the game of basketball is being played. The stage is his and Curry could deliver Cleveland’s knock out punch in Game 5.

Curry leads the offensive behemoth that is Golden State with his great ball-handling skills and ability to knock down shots from seemingly anywhere on the court. Both his teammates and the Warriors fans in attendance feed off the energy of Curry’s made three-point field goals.

There isn’t a player that can silence an opponent with a jump shot quite like Curry can. Just because he has dealt with injuries and great on-ball defense for most of the NBA Playoffs doesn’t mean that he isn’t capable of lighting up the Cavaliers with a 40-point performance in a Game 5 rout at home.

James may be the best all-around player in the NBA today, but Curry did have the best season of any player in the Association this past year. Stars shine brightest on the game’s biggest stage. Few stars are as magnetic as Curry and a 3-1 series cushion may be all he needs to drop Cleveland and continue the city’s playoff misfortunes for yet another season.
