Original pick: Reggie Bullock

The ship has probably sailed for Shane Larkin living up to his draft position in the middle of the first round, but as far as 2013 NBA Draft picks go, things could have been much worse. Larkin is, at worst, a third point guard on an NBA team right now, and for many squads, he would serve adequately as a solid back-up that won’t kill you in any facet.

The 5-foot-11 point guard from Miami came on as a shooter in 2015-2016, knocking down 36.1 percent of his three-point attempts, and that bump really helps in his evaluation. In addition, Larkin averaged 7.0 assists per 36 minutes last season, lending credence to the thought that he can become a distributor while also using his quickness to attack the rim.

Defensively, Larkin will always be at least partially limited by lack of size, but his quickness is useful and he isn’t terrible by any means. The full package amounts to a serviceable backup at the age of 23, and given a regular aging curve, Larkin has a few quality years left in the tank where he could legitimately improve as an overall player.

The Clippers would dance a jig if they could actually add a quality piece via the draft (I’m looking at you, Doc Rivers) and Larkin probably qualifies.
. PG. Miami. Shane Larkin. 25. player. 77
