According to a report, point guard Tyler Ulis has a ‘significant hip issue’ and that could cause him to slide during the 2016 NBA Draft.

The 2016 NBA Draft is drawing near and teams are quickly scheduling workouts with as many remaining players as they possibly can so that they fill out their draft boards and be prepared for what falls their way on draft night.

One player that could go from either the middle of the first round to possibly all the way in the second is Kentucky point guard Tyler Ulis. He is a small point guard, but he is one of the best floor generals in college and teams will be intrigued by what he might be able to do on the point guard leading a team on the floor.

However, there could be something working against Ulis that could cause him to drop in the draft. According to Basketball Insiders, Ulis apparently has some pretty big problems with his hip, which could scare teams off of drafting him.

"Kentucky guard Tyler Ulis is said to have a pretty significant hip issue, which some believe may require surgery down the line. A medical red flag combined with his size, Ulis could slide deep into the first round or even over into the second depending on how team medical staffs view his situation."

Ulis was coming into the draft facing an uphill climb already because of his size, but if his hip is truly as bad as it is reported to be, then the chances of him getting drafted early will become more slim.

The draft is just over a week away and as the days get closer, more and more reports about various players will come out.
