This one seems to make a lot of sense for both sides, especially considering what happened off the court for the Clippers.

The Blake Griffin punch heard around the world has the Clippers wondering what to do with their super star who fought a team employee. Chris Paul apparently was not happy as he knows his window is closing.

While the number three pick does not solve the fact that Paul is aging, it can come with your pick of insert role player here. One thing we know about Rivers is that he likes to keep players he knows on his team. Guess what team he knows? The Celtics.

Avery Bradley and Jered Sullinger are the only picks he persoanlly made, but they are easy trade pieces the Celtics can throw in a deal and that fit into adding to the current Clippers. Sullinger obviously cannot replace Griffin, but it helps. They may even be able to add Jae Crowder, but at the least Bradley adds the needed wing defense that they miss from Matt Barnes.

You throw in a slew of draft, the number three included, potentially the Nets pick next year, and the Clippers can ensure that they are going to be able to build a team with and beyond the Chris Paul era.

For the Celtics they have a player who at his peak is a top ten player. With Isiah Thomas and Marcus Smart starting in the back court you build around a core and a potential big three right there. If Griffin is to be traded this off-season the Celtics will have to be calling.
