9. player. 170.
Original pick: Noah Vonleh

Isn’t the 2014 class weird? Well, yes, at the top it very much is.

In addition to Embiid and Exum, there is another top-10 prospect that is shrouded in mystery, as Dario Saric still hasn’t arrived in the United States. The Sixers originally invested a lottery pick in Saric knowing full well that he wouldn’t be coming over immediately, but all indications are that Saric will arrive in Philadelphia for 2016-2017 season, and he should be ready to play immediately.

Obviously, there is some projection involved in placing Saric on this list without playing in an NBA game. He is widely considered to be one of the best players in Europe already, and at the age of 22, that is pretty impressive. Saric played only 22.5 minutes per game last season in the Euroleague, but he averaged 18.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per-36 minutes and that was accompanied by 50/40/90 shooting splits.

Saric won’t be that good right away in Philadelphia, but there is no reason to believe he isn’t a premium prospect and we’ve baked in his two-year absence by dropping him a bit on the board compared to where he’d actually “rank” right now. He’s a future stud and the Sixers will reap the benefits soon.

Don’t you think Charlotte wishes that they could?
. PF. Croatia. Dario Saric
