The Money in the Bank match and the briefcase stipulation has been around for a while now, and there have been some solid winners that ended up making the most out of their time with the prize. But let’s just all open our eyes here and realize one thing — the Money in the Bank briefcase was literally tailor made for Kevin Owens.

Over the course of the last 12 months, Owens has had one of the most successful first years in the history of professional wrestling, and that’s not hyperbole. He’s defeated John Cena cleanly, powerbombed a rapper off the stage and is a multi-time Intercontinental champion. But the time has come for the former Kevin Steen to get his shot at the top spot.

Seriously, just the thought of Owens walking around with that briefcase on television constantly just being the great heel that he is and then teasing cash-in after cash-in will be some of the best work that we’ve seen from anyone in quite a while. He will literally have the chance to go down as the definitive greatest briefcase winner there has been to this point with the performances that he’ll put on.

They might end up pulling a swerve on everyone by not having him win it, but really, Kevin Owens should be your new WWE World Heavyweight Champion sooner rather than later this year via Money in the Bank briefcase win.
