To celebrate the Penguins’ 2016 Stanley Cup run, Carl Hagelin, Nick Bonino, Phil Kessel will get matching WWE title belts.

The Penguins’ HBK line consisting of Carl Hagelin, Nick Bonino, and Phil Kessel took the playoffs by storm as they were a huge reason why the Penguins won their fourth Stanley Cup in franchise history. Kessel led the Penguins in goals and points during the playoffs and the HBK trio combined for 56 points in 24 playoff games.

In order to properly honor their contributions to the team and their unforgettable friendship, the trio will be getting matching WWE title belts.

The HBK line got its name from the Heart Break Kid himself, Shawn Michaels. Michaels was a huge advocate of the line, even going as far as going to a playoff game in Pittsburgh. They also had a sandwich named after them.

Just like the Heart Break Kid, who was famous for his performances on the big stage, the HBK forward line came up huge consistently for the Penguins in the postseason. Without the trio, they likely would not have beaten the Washington Capitals, as the trio were able to help the Penguins overcome the Caps holding Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin mostly scoreless during the series.

Despite leading the Penguins in goals and points during the postseason, Kessel finished second to Crosby in the Conn Smythe Trophy voting.

Deep down, the HBK forward line can rest happy knowing that they were the true reason that the Penguins won the Stanley Cup.
