Second Baseman

High-Salary Option: Ian Kinsler-Detroit Tigers (4,300): Kinsler is hitting over .300 on the season, the month, and the week as he continues to consistently contribute from the top of Detroit’s lineup.  With J.D. Martinez out, the whole Detroit lineup will need to step up, and Kinsler is in a good place to start that at the top tonight.

Kinsler has a good history against Yordano Ventura who he’ll face tonight. In their past meetings Kinsler is 6-16 (.375) with a homer and four RBI. He’s a solid play due to his overall production and specific matchup, so get him in your lineup if you have the cash.∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Joe Panik-San Francisco Giants (3,600): Panik has been red hot for the Giants and is a solid option if you can’t afford Kinsler. He and the Giants are in Tampa tonight where they’ll face Chris Archer.

Hopefully the Giants off day to travel east doesn’t cool off Panik’s bat since the lefty has gone 11-24 (.458) over the past week and has raised his season average to .268.∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Neil Walker-New York Mets (3,300): Walker returned to the lineup after missing a few games with a back injury and immediately made an impact going 2-4 with a double, home run, and three RBI to help the Mets beat his former team, the Pirates.

Tonight, the Mets open a series against the Brazes as they face John Gantwho is making just his second career start.  It’s a good matchup to stack Mets, and Walker is an affordable 2B with pop which is sometimes hard to find.∗∗∗

High-Value Option: Jurickson Profar-Texas Rangers (2,900): If you have to spend under 3K at 2B, Profar is he best option to check out as he and the Rangers take on Michael Wacha and the Cardinals.  Proffer is hitting an impressive .333 in his 19 games with the Major League club this season with two doubles, two triples, and two homers.  Profar has shown a little bit, but he’s still a great play at this price and probably going to be back in the leadoff spot tonight against St. Louis.∗∗

High-Value Option: Jose Peraza-Cincinnati Reds (2,200): The Reds recalled Jose Peraza for his second stint in the Majors, and started with a pair of productive games for his fantasy owners.  Peraza hit leadoff in his first game and dropped down yesterday afternoon while getting the start in CF. Peraza has  swiped three bases in his last two games in the Majors, and his speed along with a good matchup against Lance McCullers is enough to get him a spot in my FanDuel daily picks for this Friday. ∗∗
