3. Paul George

This is a big swing for the fences, and is probably the most unlikely, but it has to be the first name they are calling for. The Pacers seem like they are looking to rebuild, and George is playing like he wants to win. George expressed he did not want to play the power forward position but was placed there throughout the season.

He also sent out a nice farewell to his head coach Frank Vogel who was just fired. The ownership seems to be on a different page than him and there has already been speculation that teams like the Lakers will be calling for George.

The Lakers would have to throw the number two pick, and more than likely add in Julius Randle or D’Angelo Russell into the mix. The Pacers would probably love to have Randle fill in to that stretch four type of roll, and could build their front court with Randle, and Myles Turner. Add in the number two pick, presumably Brandon Ingram, and that is a fast and athletic front court growing in Indiana.

They could probably obtain another couple of assets in this scenario to deal such an established NBA super star. The Lakers would gladly pay the price because George would turn this thing around over night.

They would be right back in the mix, and would be major players to make another trade or add a big free agent, as they always will have appeal, and location, and now they have the player.
