NBA Finals: 5 reasons Cavaliers will win Game 7
3. The Warriors are banged up
After 82 regular season games and long playoff runs for both of these teams, they’re both feeling a lot of mileage on their legs heading into Game 7. Their bodies are sore and they’re going to look to put together one last great fight and give everything that they have.
Unfortunately for the Warriors, the Cavaliers look like the fresher team on the basketball court. Even worse for Golden State, the Warriors are dealing with injuries at the absolute worst time possible.
They lost center Andrew Bogut to a knee injury for the rest of the series and they no longer have their starting rim protector. In Game 6, Andre Iguodala began suffering from back stiffness and would leave the floor a couple of times.
When the Warriors want to go small and when Draymond Green is off the floor, Iguodala is the key to stopping LeBron James. With the way that James has been torching the Warriors the past two games and the fact that Iguodala couldn’t even get any lift on the floor or barely move, it could be a real problem for Golden State going into Game 7.
James has a chance to win an NBA Championship and he’s going to be playing the hardest that he ever has. Having a guy that’s essential to stopping him currently hurt is probably just about the worst thing for the Warriors right now.
