FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy baseball lineup-June 20
Third Baseman
High-Salary Option: Kris Bryant-Chicago Cubs (3,900): With Josh Donaldson off tonight, I’d go with Kris Bryant if you have big money to spend at 3B. The Cubs offense is rolling, and Bryant has been a big part of that with homers in each of the last two games against the Pirates. He has four homers in his last nine games and is up to 17 long balls on the season. He scuffled a bit as he battled illness earlier last week, but he should be set for the Cardinals coming to Wrigley to start the week. ∗∗∗
Mid-range Option: Martin Prado-Miami Marlins (3,500): Prado continues to be a very productive player for the Marlins who are looking to finish out their four-game sweep of the Rockies tonight in Miami. Prado is hitting .324 on the season and an even better .338 (24-71) so far in June. He has been especially red-hot against lefties hitting .386 (22-57) against them this year with an OPS of .902. He’ll face a southpaw tonight as he goes against Jorge De La Rosa, so look for Prado to be a nice-midrange investment this evening as he continues to be very involved in the offense out of the #2 spot in the lineup.∗∗∗∗
Mid-range Option: Travis Shaw-Boston Red Sox (3,100): Shaw has shaken off his recent slump and seems to be seeing the ball well. He hit some line drives into some hard-luck outs this weekend at Fenway but still managed to pick up some hits and go 6-18 (.333) with a double and four walks over the last week.∗∗∗
High-Value Option: Ryan Flaherty-Baltimore Orioles (2,600): Flaherty started tow of the three games against Toronto over the weekend and went 2-4 in each game with two doubles, a homer, and three RBI. He’ll look to stay hot as he continues to get playing time for the suspended Manny Machado tonight in Texas against Derek Holland.∗∗
High-Value Option: Juan Uribe-Cleveland Indians (2,300): Uribe missed four games last week with a groin injury, but he returned against the White Sox this weekend and with 5-9 with a pair of homers, four RBI, and four runs scored. Uribe is notoriously streaky, but he’s a good cheap play especially as he faces lefty Drew Smyly tonight as the Rays come to town. He’s risky, but he does offer a bit more pop than Flaherty at an even-lower price.∗∗∗
