5. Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers are a team that’s on the rise in the Western Conference. Thanks to a bunch of savvy roster moves and great coaching, the Trail Blazers expedited their rebuild and are going to be one of the more exciting teams in the conference to watch for many years to come.

Everyone knows that the Trail Blazers’ offense runs through Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum, but where they excelled in the playoffs was when Mason Plumlee was anchoring the post and could grab a bunch of rebounds.

With the flexibility that they have provided themselves, the Trail Blazers can afford an even better center in Dwight Howard. In Portland, Howard wouldn’t have the negative spotlight associated with him and he would be playing with unselfish players that could make him feel part of the team.

He could focus on the things that he does best and that’s owning the boards and throwing down huge dunks. With an offense that is exhilarating, Howard could maybe become more of an offensive focus again.

Of all the possibilities where Howard could come up, this is one of the more intriguing ones to think about. It could certainly bump the Trail Blazers up in the conference even more.
