1. Dallas Mavericks

If there is a team that should be considered an odds-on favorite to land Dwight Howard this summer, it’s the Dallas Mavericks. His good friend Chandler Parsons is already going to be working hard on getting Howard to Dallas and he would be going to a team that wants him.

The Mavericks have always had a ton of success taking veterans that might not be viewed as favorably as they once were and getting the most out of them on the basketball floor. Even though Dirk Nowitzki has opted out of his deal, the Mavericks want to remain competitive and continue to make as many playoff runs as they possibly can.

Mark Cuban has the money to pay him and he has shown that he’s always willing to take care of the top players in the league and provide them with a great environment. After a toxic situation like Houston, Dallas could be the perfect place for Howard to go and elevate his name again.

They are also a place that could pay him the money with the help of a few moves and the increase in the salary cap. The rumors have always been there about Howard to Dallas and it wouldn’t be surprising to see this be one of the first big moves of free agency to take place this summer.
