2. Jimmy Butler for Marcus Smart, No. 3 overall pick

Rebuilding can be hard but Chicago can make that process a little easier. No they don’t have to “trust the process” and go through what the terror the 76ers did. The draft and players available could do wonders for the franchise. Trading Jimmy Butler and their first round pick for Marcus Smart and Boston’s third pick would be a great start for the Bulls.

The Celtics and Bulls both need these deals. Boston has Isaiah Thomas, who is blossoming into a star in his own right. But he needs help and it’s almost impossible to win in this league with out a big two or three, Butler could come and in be another weapon for the C’s. He’s a gritty player and the Boston faithful would fall in love instantly.

The Bulls would get young point guard in Smart and would have a variety of targets available at #3. Sharpshooters Buddy Hield and Jamal Murray would still be on the board. Joining three point threat Doug Mcdermott could make the Bulls a very fun team to watch.

Smart could be used as trade bait for another team who needs a defensive point guard. If they do keep Derrick Rose, they would need a reliable back up point guard to carry the load if Rose goes down with a injury.
