2. Jerian Grant has potential

While was nothing more than a throw-in in this deal, Jerian Grant is a talented basketball player who has some nice upside as an NBA point guard. Grant was the 19th overall pick by the Washington Wizards last offseason and has incredibly been traded three times in less than a year.

He never really had much opportunity last season until late in the year when he shined for the Knicks. In the final six games of the Knicks’ season in April, Grant became a starter and showed some nice upside.

Grant averaged 14.5 points, 3.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds in those games and looked strong as a natural leader on the offensive side of the court.

Grant needs to improve his ability to hit an outside shot, but he is a legitimate offensive play-maker who can both create his own shot and create opportunities for other. Also, Grant is a long and aggressive defender who shows some perimeter defense upside.

I am not saying that Grant is going to be a star, but he is an athletic young guy who shows some real ability. I could see him playing some quality minutes for the Bulls next season and beyond.
