Second Baseman

High-Salary Option: Ian Kinsler-Detroit Tigers (3,900): Kinsler’s 2-5 night last night raised his average to .265 for the month (22-83) but he has 14 runs scored, three homers, and 18 RBI to help the Tigers offense in their recent surge.  Tonight, he should be set up to continue his high-level production as he faces Hisashi Iwakuma who he has gone 11-29 (.379) in the past with two coulee, three homers, and three RBI.∗∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Brian Dozier-Minnesota Twins (3,500): Dozier has three straight games with multiple hits and runs scored as the Twins offense has put up 27 runs in those three contests. Dozier went 3-5 last night with a triple and a pair of RBI and is 8-22 (.364) over the last week with a pair of triples and a home run.

He faces Adam Morgan and the Phillies tonight, and Dozier is 14-45 (.311) against southpaws this season with two of his eight home runs coming against LHP.  He sports an impressive .992 OPS against lefties and makes a nice play in a good matchup tonight. ∗∗∗∗∗

High Value Option: Jurickson Profar-Texas Rangers (3,000): The Rangers are still trying to figure out how to get all their players who are hitting well into their lineup on a nightly basis, but Profar is making a good case to play every day.  He hit a home run last night against the Reds giving him three long balls to go with his .345 batting average in the 22 games since he returned to the Majors.  If he’s back in the starting lineup tonight against Dan Straily, he’ll be a solid play again.∗∗
