2016 NBA Mock Draft: Draft day!

17. player. 211. The Memphis Grizzlies have plenty of needs coming into this offseason. While Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol are still locked up under contract, point guard extraordinaire Mike Conley could head out via free agency. It’s tough to make a real splash at pick No. 17 but if Furkan Korkmaz falls to them, the executives will have to be ecstatic. Right now Korkmaz is the anti-Tony Allen as he plays all offense and very little defense, but his ceiling is very high. <p>The 6-8, 190 pound, 18-year old played for Anadolu Efes (one of the best teams in all of Europe) last season showing off his effortless flow to his game at such a young age. At just 190 pounds he will clearly need to add some muscle to his frame to battle with opposing small forwards in the NBA, but even in his limited time for Efes, he’s displayed the ability to score in bunches. His meager averages of 4.3 points and 1.2 rebounds aren’t going to scream “potential!” but Fran Frashcilla will surely be singing his praises when he’s selected tonight.</p> <p>Pairing Korkmaz with defensive-minded players like Tony Allen will benefit him moving forward as he can learn the ropes on that end of the court.
