Cleveland Cavaliers: LeBron James, No. 1, 2003 NBA Draft

The native son has become the best player in franchise history. James, the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, has cemented his place in league history with an incredible streak of dominance. James has played in the last six NBA Finals, four with the Miami Heat and the previous two with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has been named to 12 straight All-Star games, has won the MVP award four times, and is the career leader in most of the categories for the Cavaliers. While many Cavalier fans were frustrated with James’ decision to sign with the Miami Heat in 2010, they welcomed him back with open arms when he decided to return to Cleveland following the 2014 season.

What LeBron James just did in the NBA Finals, leading the Cavaliers to their first NBA title by climbing back from a 3-1 deficit against the best regular season team in NBA history has cemented his legacy. He played the best basketball of his career — 36.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 9.7 assists, 3.0 steals, and 3.0 blocks per game — in the most important three-game stretch the organization had ever faced. Whatever happens from here on out, LeBron will be the greatest Cavaliers player in franchise history.
