5. Jaylen Brown has physical tools

Brown is going to be a matchup nightmare after an offseason in the weight room. His 6-goot-7 stature and 223-pound frame will carry him a long way his rookie season. His jump shot needs a little work as he only shot 48 percent from two-point range and 29 percent from beyond the arc but that is something that can be developed over time.

His raw athleticism will be something that fits the mold in Boston. Head coach Brad Stevens has been building an athletic team the past few seasons and the Celtics were able to show for their talent last year when they made it to the playoffs, only to be bounced in the first round by the Atlanta Hawks.

Many comparisons to Justise Winslow, Stanley Johnson and even now-teammate Jae Crowder have been made due to his physical presence and Grousbeck feels the sky is the limit for the youngster Brown. “We’re very happy to build with a piece — and maybe an important piece — Jaylen Brown,” he said. “Danny (Ainge) and his staff feel that he’s got significant upside. He’s already an accomplished player at a young age. We feel that he’s got the physique and the competitive drive, and the motor, and the skills, and really important the character and the intelligence.”
