4. David West, PF, San Antonio Spurs

David West wants to win a championship, and signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers would give him the best opportunity to play for one next season. Before last season, the Cavs made a run at West, who opted out of a $12.6 million dollar contract with the Indiana Pacers to chase a ring.

West ended up signing with the San Antonio Spurs, but the elusive ring continues to evade him.

“At this point in my career, it’s all about winning,” West told WTHR.com in Indianapolis in June of 2015. “And again, I don’t want to be in a position where we’re just fighting to make the playoffs, I want to be in a spot where we can legitimately taste the finals.”

Sounds like he is talking about the Cavaliers, who will be attempting to earn a spot in their third NBA Finals in a row next season. LeBron James has played in the last six NBA Finals himself, so if West is serious about winning a ring, he may want to jump on the Cavs bandwagon this summer.

West could play a solid role with the Cavs if he decides to go to Cleveland, and James would welcome him with open arms. He took the veteran minimum of $1.5 million dollars last summer, so hopefully for Cavaliers fans he does the same this year.
