1. Portland Trail Blazers

Believe it or not, the Portland Trail Blazers make all the sense in the world for Hassan Whiteside. They can pay him the money he wants and they are a team on the rise in the Western Conference.

If there is one team out there that can match the ridiculous shooting of the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference, it’s the Trail Blazers. They have two stud guards in Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum and they were able to take a game away from the Western Conference champions but made several games come down to the wire in the process.

When they were giving the Warriors and other teams struggles, it was because their players up front were crashing the boards and protecting the rim. Whiteside could slide perfectly into Portland’s lineup and provide an immediate impact.

He’s also a young center that could grow with the team and by adding him to the roster, the Trail Blazers’ prospects in the west could be a top-four team and potentially having homecourt advantage early in the playoffs.

This is a team that’s only going to get better and they should try to get in on the sweepstakes for the free agent center.
