4. Jeremy Lin

Another free agent that could quietly be one of the most coveted on the open market is point guard Jeremy Lin as he’s coming off of a nice season with the Charlotte Hornets. While Linsanity may have been a flash in the pan years ago, Lin is a player that has proven that he can be a valuable and productive rotational guard at this point in his career. Seeing how the Bulls roster looks right now, that’s exactly the type of player that they need to be targeting.

While Rose was almost surely not the answer considering how he performed alongside Butler and how stripped his skills have been since the injuries, there is now still a seeming hole at point guard. Yes, they acquired Jerian Grant and Jose Calderon in the trade, but the 2015-16 Knicks will show you that going into a season with those two players as your primary point guards is not putting yourself on the pathway to success.

Lin could be the perfect complement to the Bulls rotation to really round things out in that backcourt. He’s the type of player that can defend well enough in the right system, but that can, more importantly, add instant offense and doesn’t demand the ball 100 percent of the time when he’s on the floor. This would be another sneaky wise target for the Bulls if they choose to pursue it.
