2. Chandler Parsons

While I would have to contend Chandler Parsons’ own assertions about his value on the market that he made recently about being a potential max player, I will agree with the latter part of his statement in that he’s a really good player. When healthy, Parsons has the potential to be a defender with range on the wing using his length as well as being a real offensive asset when he’s given the right structure and system.

The obvious concern when it comes to Parsons, though, is his health. He’s had multiple surgeries on his knee that have caused him to miss substantial amounts of time and he didn’t look much like the best version of himself as an NBA player when he was able to make it on the floor. However, he’s young enough as he should just be entering his prime that you have to believe there is still great value there.

Even with Butler being a versatile wing, the Bulls could really benefit from adding a two-way player with versatility and that can stretch the floor. Parsons, in theory, could be an updated version of Mike Dunleavy, a player who’s been perpetually underrated in regard to his importance for the Bulls in recent years. As such, Chicago putting Parsons in the crosshairs would be a wise choice.
