FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy baseball lineup-June 30
High Salary OF
Bryce Harper-Washington Nationals (4,200): Harper has at least nine fantasy points in each of his last four games and in six of his last eight. He has raised his average to .256 with a 26-93 (.280) June and now has 16 homers and 46 RBI. His numbers are a bit down from last year, but he has a very good .916 OPS at home, so make him your target if you go big on an OF although I do think he’s risky at his 4K+ salary. ∗∗
Tyler Naquin-Cleveland Indians (3,800): Paquin went 2-4 yesterday in Atlanta and has reached base multiple times in four of his last five starts. He has picked up his OPS for the season up to an impressive .991. He will be seeing R.A. Dickey and Rodgers Centre for the first time in his career tonight, but he’s been hot enough to take a flier on even at this price tonight. ∗∗∗
Marcelo Ozuna-Miami Marlins (3,700): Ozuna went 3-10 with a run scored in his last two games after missing a few days with a minor wrist issue. He is in the midst of a breakout season for Miami and has 16 homers and 44 RBI to go with his .319 average. He and the Marlins will look to take advantage of the struggling Braves in Atlanta tonight.∗∗∗
Nelson Cruz-Seattle Mariners (3,600): Cruz has cruces four homers in the past week and is 6-23 (.261) over that timespan dropping his average to .280 on the season with his 20 homers and 53 RBI. Cruz has a pretty good history against Chris Tillman who he’ll face tonight as well coming into play 3-14 with a double and a pair of homers against Tillman for a healthy 1.067 OPS. He’s a boom-or-bust play since all he seems to do lately is hit homers. ∗∗∗∗
Adam Jones-Baltimore Orioles (3,500): Jones came up in the Seattle farm system, so he should be fired up to face the M’s tonight. He has at least 18 fantasy points in each of his last four games and is raking from the top of the Baltimore lineup. Jones is 12-25 (.480) over the base week with three homers, seven RBI, and nine runs scored. He doesn’t pick up many steals, but has been a solid leadoff hitter for a lineup that has been on fire, so make him part of your lineup tonight if you can.∗∗∗∗∗
Ezequiel Carrera-Toronto Blue Jays (3,300): Carrera is getting regular time at the top of the Toronto lineup while Joey Bats is out, and Carrera will take on his old team tonight as the Indians roll into Toronto.
Carrera has gone 6-22 (.273) over the last week and is 16-66 (.242) so far in June. He hasn’t added a lot of stolen bases, but he does get on base enough to be worth considering since he has such a power-packed lineup behind him. The Blue Jays tend to pile up runs in a hurry at home, and Carrera will probably be atop the lineup again tonight against his former teammate Carlos Carrasco.∗∗
