3. Boston Celtics

One team that would love to get Kevin Durant or any superstar that looks there way is the Boston Celtics. After successfully building one dream team and winning a championship in Boston, the Celtics are on the verge of building their next one thanks to all the picks and assets that they have acquired over recent years.

If the Celtics got Durant, then they suddenly have a team that can rival the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference. Imagine the Celtics and Cavaliers battling in the Eastern Conference Finals each season and the TD Garden just going nuts on every possession.

With a great roster of Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder and plenty of young talent, the Celtics have a young team that could grow around Durant and become truly dominant. Brad Stevens has already made them a good team, but Durant would make them a great team.

When a team with a legacy like the Celtics chases after Durant, he’s going to have to listen to what they have to offer. The even better news is that there are enough assets in Boston for them to go out and acquire another superstar if they really wanted to pull the trigger and go all in on their next great team.
