2. Festus Ezeli

Another option for the Golden State Warriors in free agency is restricted free agent Festus Ezeli. Like Harrison Barnes, the Warriors can match any offer that is made to Ezeli by any team.

Here’s some food for thought for you fresh from the FanSided kitchen, if the Warriors weren’t serious about maybe bringing Ezeli back, then why would extend them a qualifying offer?

More than likely, the Warriors will bring Ezeli back if they don’t land a top player in free agency, as it would make sense to make sure they have center depth. With Andrew Bogut having an injury history and potentially being on the move as well, the Warriors are going to need someone on the roster that can play center.

They went with the center position in the draft, but they’re going to need a veteran at the spot. It will be interesting to see the market for Ezeli and if it takes time to unfold, but the Warriors shouldn’t worry too much about losing him right away.

Sometimes a free agency has the opportunity of being big and then ends up with a team just bringing back their own guys. There is nothing wrong with bringing back players like Ezeli that know the system.
