Phoenix Suns: Look for “The Move”

The Suns are in a weird spot. Phoenix has underachieved relative to expectations over the past couple of seasons, after (vastly) overachieving under Jeff Hornacek in his debut on the bench. Now, the organization is in the hands of Earl Watson as its head coach, and there is real talent on board.

Unfortunately, we don’t really know how this will end. What we do know is that Phoenix has majo assets everywhere.

Don’t believe me? Here they are:

  • Devin Booker
  • Eric Bledsoe
  • Brandon Knight
  • Alex Len
  • Dragan Bender (number 4 pick in 2016)
  • Marquese Chriss (number 8 pick in 2016)
  • T.J. Warren
  • Archie Goodwin

While not every asset is created equal (and we did not even mention Tyson Chandler here), that is a lot of ammunition. On the “next great Suns team”, you can bet that some of these players won’t be around, but Phoenix has the opportunity to move on from one of its point guards (at least) and, potentially, the chance to market Len in the near future.

As we have seen in Boston lately, teams with loads of assets are always looking to find the big move to net a superstar, and Phoenix joins that parade now.
