Every NBA team’s free agent pitch to Kevin Durant
Minnesota Timberwolves
Join the basketball revolution taking place in Minnesota! Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, Ricky Rubio, and Kevin Durant doesn’t just sound like a contender. That sounds like a dynasty for years to come with the NBA’s next great big man leading the charge. Except he’s not quite ready for that. This is where Durant comes in. This franchise has their core, and they’re ready to start winning games now. Except they’re gonna have to wait for age and experience to reach the levels they aspire to. That is unless Durant signs in Minnesota and jumpstarts that head by five years.
Durant is going to be the best player on this team for the majority of his career, but when age finally catches up with him, Towns will be right there ready to take that torch and carry the franchise on his own. Next to them both is a young potential star in Wiggins. He’s still learning, but with Durant and Towns taking so much of the pressure off of him there’s no way he won’t be able to find ways to score. Commanding this group is a maniac. Tom Thibodeau wants to win all 82 games, injuries be damned, and then he wants to sweep every round of the playoffs on top of that. Losing is not an option, and that’s something Durant can respect. Dishing out the ball is Rubio, and he’ll make sure to find the spots Durant wants to be in. Come to Minnesota. It’s where everybody will wish they had gone to three years from now.
